Human Resources Coordinator job with Arnold & Porter

The Human Resources Department of Arnold & Porter has an opening for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator in the Washington, DC office. The HR Coordinator will provide a combination of technical, administrative, and project support to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Director of Human Resources, and the Human Resources Team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating HR internal communications, including developing information for HR efforts and projects.
- Managing HR shared document workspace, including reporting, ad hoc projects, etc.
- Partnering with peer departments such as Information Technology, Finance & Accounting, etc. and coordinating on behalf of HR.
- Facilitating and managing special projects, both internally and with peer departments.
- Reviewing and analyzing data, including issue-spotting, and confirming report accuracy.
- Reviewing all HR related e-bulletins/publications regarding employment law updates in all of the jurisdictions where Arnold & Porter has offices.
- Submitting information for Unemployment Claims.
- Completing the attorney/ARC ratios on a monthly basis.
- Reviewing and updating the organizational charts on a weekly basis.
- Responding to internal survey requests.
- Assisting with Staff Appreciation Week.
- Assisting with ad hoc projects concerning HR.
- Assisting in the coordination of HR meetings and presentations.
- Identifying and coordinating training opportunities, as necessary.
- Performing a variety of administrative tasks and providing general support as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative office experience in a professional services or corporate environment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; strong technical skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the firm.
- Must possess strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team and has the ability to collaborate effectively across administrative departments in all offices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting a strong attention to detail.
- Must possess good judgment and decision making skills.
- Excellent administrative and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Possess reliability, dependability, and motivation.
- Excellent organization and communications skills, both oral and written.
- Exceptional client service, both internal and external.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $56,240 to $70,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
